RICE

IT’S TIME FOR

Mexico’s daily per capita rice consumption is relatively low at 0.5 to 1.00 kg. Despite its modest consumption rates, total demand reaches over 8.2 million metric tons in 2025. Because domestic production only covers roughly 20-30% of demand, Mexico relies heavily on imports to sustain its culinary needs. RECYBOVER hold a major share of Rice supply to the Mexican domestic consumers.

Consumption Habits & Preferences

Staple Role: While not as ubiquitous as corn or wheat, rice remains a basic cereal in the Mexican diet. It is frequently utilized in traditional dishes like arroz a la Mexicano (Mexican rice) and arroz con leche (rice pudding).

Varietal Preferences: Long-grain rice is the most popular variety in the country, with consumers consistently valuing domestic rice higher than imported varieties due to its culinary and industrial quality.

Import : RECYBOVER already operating two major rice mills in Mexico and in the USA, at present we deliver 65,000 MT per month, but it is not enough, we are also sourcing rice from the Asian suppliers, we have a very strong supply chain in India, Thailand & Vietnam.
